When the relationships between Sarvan & Channi being disclosed to Maham, Munjha & rest of the people of Mohanjo Daro, Maham publicly gives his judgement as a punishment that Sarvan has to fight with two of hardcore & deadly dangerous man-eaters inside an open auditorium before the people of Mohenjo Daro & if Sarvan wins that killing battle with those two, Maham himself would marry Channi with him not with his only son Munjha. The story further reveals the reason of Damming the river Sindhu by Maham for illegal mining of Golds from the beds of the river Sindhu & smuggling it to other countries through their agents, raising burden of taxes time to time & laving that on the traders without their consents. Their, he meets the girl Channi & falls in love at first sight with her. In course of expending the business, Sarvan, along with few of his village mates moves to Mohanjo Daro. Then in rest of the story, Sarvan usually see one horned Deer in his dreams, which makes him curious to know the meaning of such unique dream.
The marriage between Munjha & Channi had been fixed by Maham right on the day when Channi got born. It is a fairy tale surrounding between four characters mainly, the Sarvan, played by Hritik Roshan, who belongs to a farmer family living in village ‘Hamri Amri Gaon’ which is located quite adjacent to the city of a big business centre, Mohenjo Daro, secondly of the girl named Channi, played by debutant actress Pooja Hegde, who is the only daughter of the main Pujari (Hindu Priest) of Mohenjo Daro, thirdly of the Pradhan (Chief) of Mohenjo Daro, named Maham, played by Kabir Bedi, as a most crooked ruler & finally of Munjha, played by Abhimanyu Singh, as the only son of Maham. Gowarikar has played with the myths of that historical period according to his own convenience, using designer’s dresses of today wearing by the Heroin of the film, showing few Muslim looking characters & using word “SHUKRIYA’ when, as we all know for sure that Islam had not taken birth by that period.Īnyways, lets go for the story first in brief. of ancient historical period of Mohenjo Daro & Hadappa civilisation. It is a fairy tale, based on the era 2016 B.C. CAUTION: Before you decide to go & see this film, please don’t go with the conviction of watching the same Ashutosh Gowarikar’s film who earlier made, Lagan & Jodha Akbar.
